Śrīsārā

Śrīsārā’s first visit to Aryaloka was in the winter of 2003 to attend a meditation retreat; she was hooked and has visited regularly since then. Śrīsārā became a Mitra in 2004, and from there, a rich time of practice and deepening, leading to her ordination in the summer of 2018. The name Śrīsārā (pronounced Sree-saw-rah) means ‘she who radiates strength.’ 

Śrīsārā’s livelihood is as a psychotherapist, and their interests include biking, hiking, all things nature, live music, theater, and art. Śrīsārā enjoys participating in and supporting local sangha events in the New York/New Jersey area.
