Meditate for Peace on New Year’s Day
January 1, 9-5
Begin 2027 in community on New Year's Day! This is a great opportunity to meditate with others and begin the year with peace and friendship. You don't have to be a Buddhist to participate — all are welcome!
Meditation sessions begin every hour on the hour. There will be a short break between every sit allowing for snacks, rehydration, stretching etc. Participants may attend all or some of the day as they see fit. A vegetarian lunch is provided. If you'd like to volunteer for part of the day, please contact Suddhayu at info@aryaloka.org.
Please arrive shortly before 9am if you plan on attending the first sit of the day.
Please RSVP below. Donations are appreciated.

*ON NEW YEAR'S EVE we gather at 11:15 PM for light refreshments, then shortly before midnight we move to the shrine room where everyone has the opportunity to ring our ancient gong to welcome in the New Year.
Our driveway: Driving around Heartwood Circle you'll see a sign for Aryaloka; take a right at the sign and then bear right, following the long driveway that goes into the woods. Please do not bear left into our neighbor's driveway (their house is also a dome and sometimes people get them mixed up). Also please drive around the circle slowly, as there are often walkers in the neighborhood. The main entrance to the center is between the two attached domes.
As of May 1st, 2025 we are no longer requiring covid testing to attend overnight events at Aryaloka. You may consider testing on your own initiative but we will not be asking to see a negative test. We will continue to run air purifiers in common spaces during all events at Aryaloka.
We will be maintaining a few health related requests as follows:
- If you know you have been exposed to Covid-19 or if you have had Covid-19 within a five day period of the event’s start-time, we ask that you not attend in-person.
- If you have cold or flu symptoms, we ask that you do not attend in-person.
Zoom options are available for some events. Transfer of fees or refunds are also available for illness or illness-preventative related absence. Please email info@aryaloka.org if you have any questions, or health related concerns.
