Dayapradipa, whose name means "beacon of kindness" has been part of the Aryaloka sangha for nearly twenty years. She was ordained in Mexico in Oct. of 2023 into the Triratna Buddhist Order. She is on the council of the Portsmouth Buddhist Center and has lived in Portsmouth NH for almost 30 years, where she is a leader in the nonprofit sector. In recent years, she has focused on fundraising for great causes like Karuna-USA, a Buddhist-inspired nonprofit that assists communities whose lives are impeded by caste, race, or ethnic discrimination. Karuna provides opportunities to transform livelihoods for lasting change. She loves teaching the dharma because it helps her to deepen her understanding through sharing and hearing from others.
