Annual Pledge Drive and NH Gives

Aryaloka's Annual Spring Pledge Drive
Be a Part of the Mandala of Supporting Friends

As members of the Aryaloka Sangha, we give to one another in so many ways — we gather together to practice Dharma, share in friendship, enjoy the arts and volunteer with everyday tasks. Many of us also give to the center with a monthly donation.

The annual pledge drive is about more than raising money; it’s about supporting our spiritual friends in the sangha. Thanks to the generosity of many people like you, some 100 sangha members pledge their annual support to Aryaloka. With your help, we would like to sustain and build that base.

If you already pledge, THANK YOU. We hope you will continue to do so and even consider increasing your pledge. You also can make a one-time gift, and NH Gives is right around the corner — we'll have info about how your one-time donation can be matched when you give on June 6 and 7.

The Passing of Bob Montgomery

Robert (Bob) Lane Montgomery, 77, passed away January 11, 2023 peacefully and sur- rounded by love at Ports- mouth Regional Hospital. He was born August 29, 1945 in Rochester NH, the son of Ralph Montgomery and Theresa Brown.

Bob graduated from Spaulding High School. Following graduation, he served in the US Navy on the Key West Naval base. He enjoyed his time in Key West and always dreamed of traveling back there at some point.

Bob lived most of his adult life in Rochester where he was a self employed entrepreneur working in interior design, with a focus on painting and wallpapering. He loved traveling, gardening and building things with his own hands to include his own house he built in Rochester. This house would be called home for many years to come by him and his family. It was also at this Rochester home where he raised several types of farm animals and produced his own maple syrup with his family.

Volunteering & Scholarships

Volunteering is a Great way to Make Friends, Build Community and Help Others!

It takes a community to run a place as big as Aryaloka! Aryaloka has always been a grassroots situation, funded and facilitated locally by the sangha (spiritual community). In the spirit of sangha, we practice generosity in relation to each other and the world around us. Generosity can be practiced in many ways, including the helping of our friends. Volunteering at Aryaloka can be a great way to build community and friendship with others. Volunteers learn that their participation really has an impact on the overall life of the community, and a visible difference to the quality of our beloved facility.
