Solar Power is Now Operational at Aryaloka!
Aryaloka is generating green energy!
Last week, Aryaloka’s new 17.835 kW solar array began generating clean, renewable electricity. Designed and installed by 603 Solar, a locally owned and operated company based in Exeter, NH, the array is expected to produce more than 100% of the electricity used by the domes.
This solar project builds on our commitment to conservation and sustainability. In March 2025, we switched to high-efficiency heat-pump systems to heat and cool the domes. So far, the heat pumps have dramatically reduced our propane use by 83% and lowered our overall energy costs by 63%. Now that we’ve paired heat pumps with solar, we’ve transformed our physical infrastructure to align with our deepest values: interconnection, sustainability, and care for future generations.
We could not do any of this without the support and generosity of the Sangha. Aryaloka will be launching a capital appeal in early 2026 to raise up to $66,500 to help pay off the project financing. Several Sangha members have already pledged their support.
