Subhramani, whose name means “she who has a radiant jewel”, first became interested in the Dharma and meditation while in college, and found Triratna in 2007. She became a mitra and trained for ordination all while raising her two young daughters.  She was ordained in Mexico in 2019.  Subhramani is Chairperson of Nagaloka Buddhist Center in Portland, Maine, where she is also Women’s Mitra Convener.  She leads regular activities at Nagaloka and facilitates Mitra Study. Subhramani lives in southern Maine with her husband.
