Jan Willis,(who Time Magazine named as one of six spiritual innovators for the new millennium), in conversation with Suryagupta for a fascinating exploration of Buddhism and spiritual friendship across the ages,  traditions and cultures. 

Born in Alabama Jan Willis was active in the Civil Rights movement participating in tbe legendary marches led by Dr Martin Luther King.   She went on to study Philosophy, and has taught Buddhism across the world for decades, She is currently a Professor of Religion Emerita at Wesleyan University as well as a visiting professor at Agnes Scott College. Her work explores women and Buddhism, race and Buddhism, and Tantric Buddhism, among other topics.
