Dancing with your Dark Side — An experimental, experiential opportunity for women, offering a path toward greater integration

Dancing with your Dark Side —
An experimental, experiential opportunity for women, offering a path toward greater integration.
Wednesdays, 1:30-3:30pm, March 19 to May 7

We all have a dark side, or shadow side, which keeps the icky bits hidden from view. For true integration to take place, it is important to befriend those parts, bring them into the light and honor their presence.

Through meditation, journaling, sharing life stories, discussion, confession, collaging and other expressive arts, we can explore all parts of ourselves in a safe and supportive environment. A commitment for the full 8 weeks is appreciated.

Led by: Saricitta first came to Aryaloka in 1991 and knew she had found her spiritual home.  She became a mitra in 1995 and was ordained in 2008.  Her name means "She who has the heart/mind like a waterfall which flows with compassion to all beings." Saricitta retired from her successful psychotherapy practice in 2019 and now that her daughters are young adults, she is happy to spend her time sharing the Dharma with others.

At Aryaloka, we strive to make our programs available to everyone regardless of their financial circumstances. Our fee structure allows you to pay according to your means.

The Event Rate is our actual fee for the event. It is for people paying their rent or mortgage, and who can afford occasional or regular leisure expenses such as dining out. Any payment above the advertised fee is a tax-deductible donation.

The Mid-Level Reduced Rate is for those who are paying their mortgage or rent, though experience a consistent tightness in budget that makes extras like leisure activities or unexpected expenses difficult or impossible.

The Base-Level Reduced Rate is for those without an income or with an income low enough that making ends meet is a challenge.

Those whose circumstances are not included above can email the office to make other arrangements including reduced rates, payment schedules, volunteer opportunities and scholarships. info@aryaloka.org
