Generosity in Action:
Śrīsārā’s first visit to Aryaloka was in the winter of 2003 to attend a meditation retreat; she was hooked and has visited regularly since then. Śrīsārā became a Mitra in 2004, and from there, a rich time of practice and deepening, leading to her ordination in the summer of 2018. The name Śrīsārā (pronounced Sree-saw-rah) means ‘she who radiates strength.’
Singhashri (she/her or they/them) is a queer, Latinx-American-British Buddhist teacher and writer. They teach mindfulness and compassion as means to awakening to love, beauty and truth and have committed their life to supporting collective liberation for all and the joy and freedom found there.
